At Mine helps you host small nights in with friends you already know. It's private by design: nights aren't public, nothing is searchable, and we don't sell data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites. This page explains exactly what we store and who can see it.
What we store
If you host
- Your phone number, to sign you in with a one-time text message, or, if you choose Sign in with Apple, the account ID and email address Apple gives us (which can be a private relay address). Neither is shown to your guests.
- Your first name, which appears on your invites.
- Your username and profile photo, if you add one, and your friends: who you've added and who's asked. Anyone signed in to At Mine can find you by your username and see your profile card (name, username, photo, sidekick and the nights you're into), but only friends and people you share a night with can message you.
- What you're into, if you tell us at sign-up: the kinds of night you like (movie, book, dinner or tea), whether you mostly host or join, and a few favourites. We use them to tailor suggestions; change them any time in your profile.
- Your sidekick: its name, look, vibe and house rules, your chats with it, and the things you ask it to remember. Only you see these.
- Direct messages you send to someone you share a night with. Only the two of you see them (and either of your sidekicks, if you bring them in).
- When you were last in the app, so people you message can see when you're online or when you were last seen. In Settings, choose who sees it: everyone you chat with, only friends, or nobody. If you hide yours, you won't see theirs either. While you type in a direct message, the other person sees that you're typing.
- The nights you create: title, date and time, the general area, your address and arrival notes if you add them, how many people you have room for, your invite note, film options, your private checklist, and what you've asked people to bring.
If you're a guest
- The first name you give when you open an invite. You don't need an account or an app.
- Your phone number, with its country code. We use it to text you a confirmation when you reply to a night, and so that if you sign in to the At Mine app with the same number (confirmed by a text message), the nights you replied to appear there. The host and other guests never see it. We don't use it for marketing or share it with anyone else.
- An anonymous session saved in your browser, so the invite page recognises you when you come back.
- What you do on the invite: your reply, your film vote, and what you're bringing.
- Chat messages you post in a night's chat, with your first name and the time.
If you vote on what to watch
- The first name you give and the film you pick. The host and anyone with the vote link can see names and picks. No account or phone number is needed, and the vote is deleted when the host deletes it or their account.
After the night
- Notes and photos that people who came choose to add, and whether someone offers to host the next night.
How the app is used
- A record of simple actions, such as creating an invite, replying, voting or offering to host next, with the time and your account ID. We use it to see whether nights lead to more nights and to improve the app. It never includes your location or contacts.
We don't access your contacts or precise location. Photos are only read when you choose one to add. If you connect Google Calendar in Settings, the app reads that calendar's event names and times on this phone so they can sit next to your nights and overlaps can be marked. Event names and details are not saved on At Mine's servers. If your booking page is public, the app sends only the start and end times of busy events over the next few weeks, so nobody can book over them; each update replaces the last. If you add a night to Google Calendar, or someone books a time on your page, At Mine creates that one event there. It doesn't change or delete anything else on the calendar, unless you disconnect and ask to remove those nights. Then it deletes only the nights it added.
Who can see what
- Anyone with an invite link can see the night's title, time, general area, the films, and the first names of people who are coming.
- Anyone, if you make your booking page public, can see it at at-mine.app/your-username: your name, username and photo, the page's title, intro and cover, the general area, and the times you're free. Never your address, phone number or calendar events. A private page opens only with its preview link. People who book give their first name and number; you see their name, never their number.
- Only guests who reply "I'm in" can see the address and arrival notes.
- The host and invited guests can read a night's chat. People you remove from a night can no longer see it.
- Only people who came can see notes and photos from the night.
- Only the host sees their checklist, who hasn't replied, and who can't make it.
The host can turn an invite link off or replace it at any time, remove the address, remove a guest, cancel a night, or delete it.
Usher, the AI assistant
Usher, At Mine's AI assistant, can help you sign up and plan a night. When you use it, what you type and the details of that night are sent to OpenAI to write a reply. The details sent include the title, time, area, films, the first names of people coming, and your checklist. Your address and anyone's phone number are never sent. If you ask for a custom cover, a short description of the night is sent to OpenAI to create the image, which is then stored with your night. OpenAI processes this under its API terms, which say API data isn't used to train its models by default. The assistant only suggests changes: nothing is applied until you tap it, and it never messages anyone. You can turn suggestions off in the app. Your planning conversation with Usher is saved with that night, only you can see it, so you can pick up where you left off. It's deleted when you tap Start over, delete the night, or delete your account.
In a night's chat, anyone can mention @Usher, our film companion, to ask about the films. When someone does, that message and the chat's recent messages (with first names), plus the night's title, time, films and the first names of people coming, are sent to OpenAI to write Usher's reply, which everyone in the chat can see. Messages that don't mention Usher are never sent to OpenAI. Addresses and phone numbers are never sent. Hosts can rename their sidekick (Usher is the default), give it house rules, and leave it a private note about a night; only the host sees those. If the host leaves welcomes on, when you say you're in, your first name, what you're bringing and who else is coming are sent to OpenAI so the sidekick can welcome you in the night's chat.
Your own sidekick and direct messages
When you chat with your own sidekick (pinned in Messages, and the “Ask anything” box on Home), what you type, the recent messages in that chat, what you've asked it to remember, the kinds of night and favourites you chose, and the details of your upcoming nights (titles, times, picks and how many are coming) are sent to OpenAI to write its reply. It only reads the last few messages of a chat. If you ask it to change a night you host, it makes that change and tells you. You can see and delete what it remembers, and delete any chat, in the app.
In a direct message, your sidekick only joins if you bring it in, and only answers when mentioned. Then the recent messages in that chat, with first names, and the titles and dates of the nights you share are sent to OpenAI to write its reply. Messages that don't mention a sidekick are never sent to OpenAI.
Services we use
- Google Firebase for sign-in, and to store data and photos. Data is stored in the United States.
- Vercel hosts this website and the At Mine service.
- Firecrawl searches for films and reads their public pages when you look one up or browse new releases, and Moss keeps a searchable index of those public film details so later searches are instant. Only the words of your search (or a genre) are sent, never who you are; to match meaning, the search words are also turned into numbers by OpenAI. Film details and posters come from The Movie Database (TMDB).
- Exa searches the web for books, dishes and teas (with their pictures) when you look one up or your sidekick suggests some. Only the search words are sent, never who you are.
- OneSignal delivers push notifications in the app. It stores a notification token for your device, linked to your account ID, and the text of each notification.
- Telnyx sends At Mine's text messages. It receives the phone number and the text of each message.
- OpenAI writes your sidekick's suggestions and replies: when you chat with it, plan with it, or mention it in a chat.
These providers process data on our behalf to run At Mine. You share invites yourself: At Mine doesn't send invitations for you.
Text messages
When someone replies to a night, At Mine texts them a confirmation, and texts the host who's coming (or can't make it). Each reply sends at most one text to each of them, and we don't send marketing messages. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help, or email team@at-mine.app. Full details are in our terms.
Notifications
If you allow notifications in the app, At Mine tells you when someone replies to a night you host, when there's a new message in a night's chat, and how a film vote you started is going. You can turn them off at any time in your iPhone's Settings. Signing out or deleting your account stops them on that device. We keep a list of your recent notifications so you can see them again in the app, and which chats you've read, so Messages can show what's new; both are deleted with your account.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your data while your account is active. Deleting a night removes it for everyone, including replies, votes, chat, notes and photos. You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Profile → Settings (the gear) → Delete account (see how to delete your account). This removes your profile and sign-in, the nights you host, and your replies, votes, chat messages, notes and photos on other people's nights. It happens straight away and can't be undone. If you can't get into the app, email team@at-mine.app with the phone number you sign in with, and we'll delete it for you within 30 days.
Children
At Mine isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For any question about your data, email team@at-mine.app.
